Great vegan choices that bring us back time and again. Not many places do a decent vegan korma, they do here. And left my bag behind by mistake and they kept it safe. Good service and atmosphere, cheers

It was our first evening in London, we were very hungry and looking for food. We found this restaurant and were very happy with the lassi and the food (railway thali dishes) - unfortunately we couldn't finish it. I would have liked to order another drink but the waiter took the menus with him.

I've been visiting here since 1977, and it's still one of my favourite Indian restaurants. With the associated cocktail bar next door it's a great place to go after work or for a grand night out.

£25 for mutton chops !!! Been before and had a great evening, this evening was good... but £25 for a share of mutton chops, come on !! Prior to ordering, questioned the "lamb" chops... not because of the price, it was more they were recommended as award winning.... ordered, arrived and..... this was them.... Wasn't asked throughout the meal if they were enjoyable - only once clearing the table. I noted to one of the 2 waiters who recommended them, chops - lamb ?? Award winning?? They just walked away..... hey, food was fine, service decent...... don't order the mutton chops - not worth £25 for 4.... buy an entire mutton box for approx £65.... but decent establishment just no questions.. would i go again, yeah - no chops next time

Bumped into this place by an accident and boy were we lucky. The food was absolutely amazing, all the dishes were perfectly spiced and the staff was very nice, helping us with the order. The price was also surprisingly nice. All in all I definitely recommend trying this place anytime you are near.

Been there for dinner with my colleagues (all Indians) and we tried their veg and chicken thali with veg biriyani.... 20-25 pp cost on average with drinks and food... The taste of the food is just average as per Indian food in London and below average as per Indian taste... And yes overpriced as per taste and ambience...

Amazing Indian food! The flavors were so vibrant and fresh. I especially loved the naan, it was perfectly soft and fluffy. Definitely going back for more soon! Can't wait to try more dishes from their menu. Great for an after work meal with friends

Welcome to Dilchad Indian Restaurant Spitalfields, a hidden gem nestled in the vibrant heart of London at 24 Widegate St. This beloved establishment has been enchanting patrons since 1977 with its rich Indian flavors and warm hospitality. The blend of traditional recipes with a modern twist makes it a must-visit for enthusiasts of Indian cuisine.

One of the standout elements of Dilchad is its commitment to vegan offerings, a rare find among Indian restaurants. As noted by customer Alan, the vegan korma shines as a highlight, attracting repeat visitors eager for a taste of comfort that caters to diverse dietary preferences. The restaurant doesn’t merely serve food; it provides an experience that keeps diners coming back.

As you step into Dilchad, the vibrant atmosphere draws you in. The delightful lassi and hearty railway thali dishes have left a mark on guests like Julia, recalling their first exciting evening in London. However, it's worth noting that service can occasionally be a hit or miss, as indicated by the mixed reviews regarding the attentiveness of staff during bustling hours.

For those savoring a drink, the adjacent cocktail bar enhances the experience, making it an ideal stop after work or a fitting destination for a grand night out. Paul’s long-standing patronage underlines the restaurant's consistent quality and charm over the decades.

However, not all feedback is uniformly glowing. Unexpected encounters, like Simona's fortunate find of the restaurant, typically herald delightful culinary discoveries. Enthusiastic patrons rave about the perfect balance of spices and delightful service, showcasing that Dilchad is more than just a place to eat; it's a destination for memorable meals.
